Markel Cuesta has worked for two companies, Smowltech and Bikuma Global Services S.L. Markel began working for Smowltech in 2022 as a Desarrollador full stack. In 2021, they began working for Bikuma Global Services S.L. as a Backend Developer and Web Developer. As a Backend Developer, they specialized in web development for Drupal and Wordpress, creating personalized plugins, migrating scripts and contents, and working with Docker and remote environments. As a Web Developer, they specialized in Drupal, taking formation about the CMS in the Frontend as well as in Backend and completing tasks migrating scripts and contents in projects with Drupal 7, 8 and 9.

Markel Cuesta has obtained a Certificate of Higher Education (HNC) on Web Application Development from Elorrieta-Errekamari (Bilbao) between 2019 and 2021. Markel then obtained a Certificate of Higher Education (HNC) on Multiplatform Application Development from the same institution between 2021 and 2022. In addition, Markel has obtained three certifications from LinkedIn Learning \u22c5 Course Certificate and MongoDB in July 2021: Advanced Linux: The Linux Kernel, DevOps Foundations, and M001: MongoDB Basics.
