Bala Lakshminarayanan

Bala Lakshminarayanan, VP, Engineering for SMT’s Fremont division, joined SMT in 2011 as a software engineer. During his tenure, he has contributed to a variety of cutting-edge software systems, including the industry standard 1st & Ten line football system, strike-zone enhancement and virtual insertions in baseball, SMT's proprietary infrared tracking system used in hockey, and other real-time augmented reality products.

Bala holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He's from Chennai, India, and in addition to English, he is fluent in Tamil and Hindi.
