Katarina Miletijev

Katarina Miletijev has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Katarina started their career as a Design Engineer at PG&E in 2003 and then moved to SMUD in 2005, where they worked as an Associate Distribution System Engineer. At SMUD, they gradually took on more senior roles, including Senior Distribution System Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer, and Principal Distribution Operations Engineer. In 2019, they were promoted to Supervising Principal Distribution Operations Engineer. Katarina then served as the Manager of Distribution Operations Engineering before assuming the role of Interim Director of Distribution Planning & Operations in 2023 at SMUD. Prior to joining SMUD, they briefly worked as a Power Engineer at the City of Roseville.

Katarina Miletijev earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from California State University-Sacramento, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Modesto Junior College from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the Professional Engineer - Electrical Engineer certification from the California Board for Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors in 2006. Katarina has also pursued various certifications related to diversity, inclusion, and communication through online platforms like LinkedIn, with the most recent certifications obtained in 2023.
