Perry Cook

Perry Cook is an esteemed figure in music technology and computer science, currently serving as faculty at the California Institute of the Arts since 2010, while also holding positions as an IP Strategist at SMule and as the Founder and Creative Director of Humbug Sonic Arts, both since 2008. Previously, Perry Cook was a Professor Emeritus at Princeton University, contributing from 1996 to 2010. Earlier career milestones include roles as a consultant and Senior Research Scientist at Media Vision from 1989 to 1995, and a variety of positions at Stanford University, including Technical Director and PhD graduate, spanning from 1986 to 1995. Perry Cook earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University (1986-1990), alongside a BA in Music and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (1973-1986).
