Erik Bunge

Erik Bunge has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Erik started their career at DSM Elastomers, where they worked as a Product Sales Manager and later as a Sales Manager in the UK. During their time at DSM, they played a crucial role in setting up a new agent network in Latin America and acquiring an elastomer plant in Brasil.

Erik then joined Smurfit Kappa, where they held several executive positions. Erik first served as the Managing Director of Van Dam before becoming the Country Director of Spain. In this role, they focused on recruiting and developing a new generation of middle managers and oversaw the establishment of new manufacturing plants. Later, Erik was promoted to CEO of Corrugated Benelux, where they led the company's global sourcing efforts.

Throughout their career, Erik has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of driving growth and success in the manufacturing and packaging industries.

Erik Bunge attended the University of Amsterdam from 1980 to 1986, where they studied Business & Economics. In 2003, they also briefly studied Finance and Financial Management at INSEAD. Later, in 2011 and 2012, Erik pursued an Executive MBA at the London Business School. Most recently, from 2020 to 2022, they completed a program in Organizational Leadership, specifically the Nyenrode Commissarissen Opleiding, at Nyenrode Business University.
