Elio Ruggeri

Elio Ruggeri has an extensive work experience in the energy sector. Elio currently holds the position of LNG Business, Executive Director at Snam, where they focus on optimizing performance of existing assets and developing large-scale FSRU projects. Elio has also served as the Global LNG, Senior Vice President at Snam and as the International Assets & Commercial Operations, SVP where they supervised international assets and managed stakeholders. Additionally, Elio has held roles such as Head of Business Development LNG at Snam and Chairman at FSRU Italia and OLT OFFSHORE LNG TOSCANA. Elio has also been an Executive Chairman at GNL Italia and ASSOCOSTIERI. Elio Ruggeri has been a member of the Executive Committee at GLE and a member of the Board of Directors at Interconnector, DESFA SA – Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator, and Terega. Prior to their roles at Snam, Elio worked at Edison SpA as SVP Gas Supply Origination and Infrastructures and SVP International Gas Infrastructures, where they were responsible for developing new business opportunities in the natural gas sector.

Elio Ruggeri obtained a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from SDA Bocconi in 2006. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Università degli Studi di Palermo from 1991 to 1996, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician.
