Pere Margalef

Pere Margalef serves as the Chairman of Technical Committees at Hydrogen Europe since September 2023 and has been the Director of Decarbonization Technologies at Snam S.p.A. since February 2021. Pere plays a crucial role in fostering disruptive hydrogen technologies and coordinating their technical development for asset readiness in existing infrastructures. Additionally, Pere is an Associate Professor of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells at UPC School and previously held leadership positions at FuelCell Energy, including Vice President of Business Development for Europe. Pere's expertise encompasses project development in sustainable energy solutions, including fuel cell technologies and hydrogen production. Pere's educational background includes a Master's in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Irvine, along with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a recent completion of the Strategic R&D Management Programme at INSEAD.
