Derrick Steel

Derrick Steel is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in product development and electrical engineering. Currently serving as Manager of Product Development at Snap-on Diagnostics and Lead Engineer at Snap-on Tools since 2015, Derrick specializes in the design and evaluation of diagnostic tools. Prior roles include Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant at Hospira, Engineering Manager at Kobo Inc., and multiple managerial positions at Motorola Mobility, where Derrick directed Baseband and RF engineering teams. Derrick began a career in electrical engineering at Motorola Inc., focusing on cellphone technologies. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and an Associate of Science degree from the College of DuPage.
