Cees van Koppen

Cees van Koppen is an experienced public policy professional currently serving as the Head of Public Policy for Benelux and EMEA Safety Policy Lead at Snap Inc. since October 2021. Prior to this role, Cees held the position of Senior Advisor for Public Affairs at NDP Nieuwsmedia, representing the news media industry in the Netherlands from January 2019 to October 2021. Cees also served as the Manager of Public Policy for EU at Netflix from November 2015 to March 2018, engaging with government entities and industry partners on regulatory matters. Earlier experience includes working as a Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Education, Culture & Science and participating in the government trainee program at the Ministry of Security and Justice. Cees holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Dutch Law, specializing in Criminal Law, from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
