Rod Afshar

Rod Afshar is an experienced technical leader currently serving as Technical Lead at Snapchat, Inc. since August 2017. Previously, Rod held various engineering roles at ZEFR, including Director of Engineering for the RightsID and BrandID product lines, Engineering Manager, and Lead Software Engineer, where responsibilities included overseeing development, establishing architecture, and enhancing application performance. Earlier in the career, Rod served as Lead Developer at The Incite Group and Senior IT Manager at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on systems development, team management, and process optimization. Rod began the professional journey as a Software Engineering Intern at epic software group, inc., contributing to game development and publishing educational materials. Rod holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Key technical expertise includes Python, Django, JavaScript, and jQuery.
