Jean Vermeulen started their work experience in 2013 as a teacher at Buren High School and then moved on to United Herzlia Schools in 2013. They later worked at Lumico (Pty) Ltd as the Head of Digital Training and Educational Projects from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they became the Head of Afrikaans at Herzlia Middle School until 2016. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an ICT Curriculum Facilitator at Green Shoots Education. They then moved to Herzlia Highlands Primary School in 2019 as the Head of Afrikaans and Grade 5 Class Teacher until 2020. Currently, they are working at Snapplify as the Head of Teacha! and also as the Founder of Teacha!.
Jean Vermeulen has an extensive education history in the fields of Business Administration and Education. In 2009, Jean attended Stellenbosch University and completed a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree with a focus on Afrikaans and Social Sciences. This education lasted from 2009 until 2012.
