Megan Flemmit has a diverse work experience in the field of content creation and journalism. Megan is currently working at SnapScan as a Content Strategist, a role they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at SnapScan as a Content Writer from April 2021 to September 2022.
Before joining SnapScan, Megan worked at Media24 (Pty) Ltd from 2017. Megan held various roles within the company, including Health and Wellness Editor for Men's Health South Africa, where they organized and wrote original content for the magazine's fitness, health, and weight loss sections. Megan also conducted extensive research and interviews for compelling articles.
Megan also worked as a Multimedia Journalist for Men's Health South Africa, where they conducted interviews and researched topics for magazine and website articles. Megan helped coordinate photoshoots and proofread articles for accuracy. Megan also had a role as a Multimedia Journalist for Women's Health South Africa, where they wrote engaging articles and filmed and edited workout videos.
Prior to their work at Media24 (Pty) Ltd, Megan worked at SABC as a Radio Reporter and Bulletin Writer, where they produced news segments and conducted interviews with city officials and ministers. Megan also worked as a News Intern, staying informed about current events and writing informative news segments for SABC radio stations.
Megan's earlier work experience includes a role as an Arts Journalist at CueTube, where they interviewed actors and directors to provide audiences with an inside look at performances during the National Arts Festival. Megan also had a role as a Production Intern at Cape Town Television, where they conducted research and observed the different production phases of the station's shows.
Their career in journalism began as a News Writer for Activate, a student newspaper, where they wrote news articles.
Throughout their career, Megan has demonstrated strong research, writing, and interviewing skills, as well as an ability to adapt content to suit different audiences. Megan also has experience in video production and coordination.
Megan Flemmit attended The Settlers High School from 2006 to 2010, where they received their Matric Senior Certificate. Later, from 2011 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Journalism degree at Rhodes University, specializing in Journalism.
