Tryggvi Jónsson

Tryggvi Jónsson serves as the Director of Data Solutions at Motus since February 2024 and holds the position of Advisory Board Member at SNERPA Power. Previously, Tryggvi worked at Marel as a Technical Product Manager and a Principal Software Engineer, along with roles as Development Manager at Innova. Experience includes leading teams at Arion banki, teaching as an External Lecturer at Reykjavik University, and serving as VP Solutions and Services at Activity Stream Inc. Tryggvi held positions in software engineering at Meniga and conducted research and taught at the University of Iceland. A former Postdoctoral researcher at DTU Informatics, Tryggvi focused on renewable energy integration and forecasting during this tenure, which followed a PhD in Applied Statistics from DTU and a Master's in Mathematical Statistics. Tryggvi’s academic background also includes a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Háskóli Íslands.
