Matt Gathu is a seasoned software engineer with substantial experience in developing innovative software solutions across various companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Sonos, Inc. since November 2019, Matt has previously contributed as an R&D Software Engineer at Snips, focusing on edge Machine Learning implementations and significant improvements to NLU parsers. Earlier roles include Software Engineer at JUMO.WORLD, where contributions included development of microservices for telecom provider integrations, and freelance software development using Python and JavaScript for various clients. Matt began their career with internships at iHub Nairobi and Takamoto Biogas, honing skills in data analysis tools and cloud-based applications.
