Ryan Heidema

Ryan Heidema is an R&D Software Engineer II at FORTNA since July 2023, previously serving as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon from February 2022 to July 2023. Prior experience includes an Application Development Internship at OST - Open Systems Technologies, where Ryan contributed to a cross-platform mobile app for healthcare equipment monitoring and designed a quiz creation web app. As an IT Intern at UPS, Ryan modernized a legacy web application and led a Hackathon team to an award victory. Ryan was also a team member of the University of Michigan Solar Car Team, participating in the development of the award-winning solar car, Electrum. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering and a High School Diploma from Hudsonville High School.
