Kurt Hilt

Kurt Hilt has extensive experience in public service and emergency management. Currently serving as City Councilmember for the City of Lake Stevens since January 2016, Kurt played a pivotal role in establishing Washington's first municipal Veteran's Commission, aimed at enhancing access to veteran services and engaging local veteran talent. Kurt also contributes as a Board Member for the Washington State Board of Health and the Snohomish Health District, while actively serving on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Washington Disaster Medical Assistance Team since February 2004, participating in significant disaster response efforts. Additionally, Kurt has been a Firefighter/Paramedic with Snohomish County Fire District 1 since August 1999, founding The Disaster Medicine Project and managing emergency preparedness initiatives. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Seattle Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Homeland Security Policy from American Military University.
