Michelle Hwang

Michelle Hwang is a Product Designer who has worked for various companies and organizations. Michelle started their career at the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA), where they served as a Human Resources Intern and led efforts to improve employee morale through a satisfaction survey. Michelle then worked as a Learning & Development Intern at NorthBay Healthcare, where they analyzed leadership competencies and provided recommendations for talent development. Michelle also held the role of Learning & Development Specialist at UC Berkeley - Corporate Education, where they focused on learning and development initiatives.

In 2015, Michelle joined Salesforce and worked in various positions within Certification Operations. Michelle designed an internal information system that enabled sales to report on customer voucher product consumption and built the information architecture based on feedback from sales teams and management. Michelle also served as a Coordinator and later as a Specialist in Certification Operations.

In 2020, Michelle took on the role of Product Design Intern at Amplitude, where they designed and shipped a solution to enhance internal content reach for client organizations. Michelle also led a redesign of a team collaboration feature through user interviews, ideation, and prototyping, incorporating customer feedback.

Michelle's most recent experiences include working as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, where they taught and assisted in courses related to visual communication and computational models of cognition. Michelle is currently working as a Product Designer at Snorkel AI.

Michelle Hwang's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Double Major in Cognitive Science and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed from 2010 to 2014.

Michelle also pursued a Master's degree in Information Management & Systems (MIMS) from the UC Berkeley School of Information, which they completed from 2019 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Michelle Hwang obtained certification as a Salesforce Certified Administrator from Salesforce in April 2016.
