Jay Jensen

Jay Jensen has extensive experience in public safety and heavy equipment operation, currently serving in a semi-retired capacity at Snowbird since December 1979, where responsibilities include snow removal. Previous positions include Director of Public Safety and Risk Management at Utah Transit Authority from 1997 to 2001 and Reserve Deputy at Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office from 1983 to 1997. Jay Jensen holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Salt Lake Community College and has completed various training programs, including those from the State of Utah Department of Public Safety, the Department of the Army, and P.O.S.T. Police Officers Standards and Training, achieving the status of Category Two Peace Officer. Additional studies were undertaken at the University of Utah between 1980 and 1981.
