J Michael Valach

J Michael Valach has extensive experience in the outdoor recreation industry, currently serving as Outdoor Adventure Manager, Retail Group Manager, and Buyer at Snowshoe Mountain Resort since 2007. Valach oversees multiple high-volume ski and board rental shops and manages a diverse Outdoor Adventure Department, which includes various tour services and resort activities. Responsibilities also encompass hiring, training, and performance management of retail staff, as well as conducting budget management to exceed sales goals. Valach has been the Hardgoods Buyer for the resort since December 2013, ensuring alignment with market trends. Previously, Valach worked as a Technical Representative for HEAD from 2005 to 2011, where duties included product demonstrations and sales promotion. Valach holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Marketing and Management from Davis and Elkins College.
