Shawn Cassell began their work experience in 2011 as a Rental Technician at Appalachian Ski Mountain, where they communicated effectively with guests and maintained safety standards. Shawn later worked as a Public Relations Intern at Beech Mountain Ski Resort, gaining experience in public relations. In 2012, they became a PM Kitchen Manager at Six Pence Restaurant and Pub, developing leadership and multitasking skills. Shawn then worked as an Advertising Sales Representative at Appnet Web Design, selling advertising space for various websites. In 2013, they worked as a Technician at Ski Country Sports and as a Social Media Coordinator at Salon Mosaic. In 2014, they had roles as a Sales Associate at 17th Street Surf Shop and as a Project & Interactive Coordinator at Nexus Direct, where they gained experience in email marketing, account services, CRM strategy, and more. In 2018, they became a Public Relations Manager at Snowshoe Mountain Resort, and in 2019, they transitioned to the role of Digital Marketing & PR Manager at Snowshoe Mountain. Most recently, they have been working as the Marketing Director at Snowshoe Mountain.
Shawn Cassell completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communication, with a focus on Public Relations, from Appalachian State University. Shawn attended the university from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, Shawn completed their high school education at Northwood High School, where they obtained an Advanced Studies Diploma between 2005 and 2009. No specific field of study was provided for their high school degree.
