Maarten van der Stap

Maarten van der Stap serves as the General Manager for Production, Maintenance, Major Overhauls, and Generation Operations at Snowy Hydro Limited since September 2013, overseeing operations for approximately 260 employees across multiple sites in New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. With a strong values-based leadership style, Maarten drives change by engaging people and has previously held roles such as General Manager Production and Manager Improvement Implementation within the same company. Prior experience includes significant leadership positions at BMA Coal, where responsibilities ranged from maintenance management to reliability engineering for mobile and fixed equipment. Maarten holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with honors from Curtin University and a qualification in Environmental Health Surveying from Queensland University of Technology.
