Elisa Chiaro

Elisa Chiaro has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. Elisa began their career as a Trainee Lawyer at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, working in both the London and Milan offices from 2010 to 2012. Elisa then served as an In-house Legal Counsel at Belvedere S.p.a. from 2013 to 2015. Elisa went on to work as a Legal Consultant at Global Rights Compliance, where they held both a Legal Internship and Consultant position from 2016 to 2018. Elisa later joined the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (UN-MICT) as a Legal Assistant from 2017 to 2018. Elisa then transitioned to Colony Capital, Inc., working as a Legal Associate from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Global Policy and Legal Advisor at SNV, starting in 2021. Elisa will soon take on the role of Global Legal and Governance Lead at the same organization in November 2023.

Elisa Chiaro completed their Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice at SOAS University of London from 2015 to 2016. Elisa also holds a Summa Cum Laude Master of Laws degree (Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza) from Università degli Studi di Milano. Elisa obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Law (Laurea in Scienze Giuridiche) from Università degli Studi di Padova. As part of their education, Elisa also participated in the Erasmus Programme at Sheffield Hallam University. In 2013, they were admitted to the Italian Bar by Corte d'Appello di Milano.
