Martin van Dam

Martin van Dam is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Multi Country Project Manager for the African Biodigester Component at SNV since March 2016, leading efforts to develop the biodigester sector in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. With extensive experience in renewable energy management, including roles as Country Sector Leader and Project Manager for various initiatives, Martin has a proven track record in coordinating projects that promote sustainable energy access. Prior to SNV, Martin founded Smart Energy Services Faso, worked as a Client Advisor at Bennu Solar, and held several management positions focusing on solar home systems and clean cooking technologies. Educational qualifications include multiple master's degrees in International Development and Human Geography from Utrecht University.
