Asaf Biton

Asaf Biton is an experienced engineering manager currently leading the Security R&D Team within the SAST Intelligence Group at Snyk since May 2019. In this role, Asaf established a new team focused on the end-to-end ownership of Snyk Code SAST security rules, conducting vulnerability research on various attack vectors, and engaging in responsible disclosures and community outreach. Previously, Asaf worked as a security researcher at Snyk, where responsibilities included vulnerability triage and analysis across multiple ecosystems and the initiation of Snyk’s Disclosure Programme. Asaf's foundational experience includes serving as a network and cyber security researcher in Unit 8200 of the Israeli Intelligence Corps, following intensive cyber security training covering threats, vulnerabilities, and forensics. Educational credentials include studies at Atidim Or Aqiva and Tel Aviv University.
