Mark Nichols

Mark Nichols has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mark started their career at Rayonier, where they served as the Director of Corporate Network Services, focusing on infrastructure development and disaster recovery planning. After that, Mark worked at Mission Critical Information Services, LLC/Professional IT Services as the General Manager, before joining BEA Systems as a Collaboration Engineer, leading email platform migration and implementing a highly available email system.

Mark then moved on to Synacor, where they held the position of Sr. Solutions Advisor, successfully closing deals with major telecom providers and delivering technical presentations to Fortune 100 companies. Later, they joined Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. as a Cloud Alliance Architect, playing a crucial role in developing integrations with cloud alliance partners such as Google, AWS, Azure, and VMware.

After a sabbatical period as a caregiver and general contractor, Mark is currently employed at Snyk as a Sr. Partner Solutions Architect. With a wealth of experience in architecture and solution development, Mark continues to contribute to the success of their company by utilizing their expertise and building strong partnerships with clients.

Mark Nichols obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1980 to 1985. In addition, they have earned the certifications of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2022 and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from the same institution in July 2022.
