Robert Guinness

Robert Guinness has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries and roles. Robert is currently working at Snyk as a Senior Engineering Manager, leading engineering teams. Prior to Snyk, they served as the Head of AI at FOSSID AB, where they utilized machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate open-source software auditing. Robert was also the CEO of Teqmine, where they led the company in all aspects, including technology development. Additionally, Robert has experience as a Founder at Pondenome, developing an open-source encrypted social network. Robert has held leadership roles at Teqmine Analytics Oy and the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute. Robert's early career includes positions at Laurea University of Applied Sciences, The Boeing Company, Hamilton Sundstrand, and NASA.

Robert Guinness earned a High School Diploma in 1999 from Christian Brothers College High School. Robert then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis from 1999 to 2004. Robert furthered their education at the International Space University, obtaining a Master of Space Studies degree from 2005 to 2006. Lastly, Robert pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pervasive Computing from Tampere University of Technology, completing it between 2012 and 2018.
