Jeremiah Folsom-Kovarik

Jeremiah Folsom-Kovarik has a range of work experience in various research and technical roles. Jeremiah started their career as a Programmer Analyst at Phoenix Sampling Group, where they designed and built data structures to track licensed U.S. physicians. Jeremiah then moved on to work as a Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida, where they assisted with research projects and also served as a Teaching Assistant for computer science courses. Jeremiah later joined the UCF Institute for Simulation and Training as a Research Assistant, gaining further experience in research and development. Currently, Jeremiah is employed at Soar Technology, Inc. as a Lead Scientist, where they support multiple research projects related to artificial intelligence and intelligent automation of user tasks through computational models of user goals and needs. Their research interests include intelligent tutoring, adaptive training, user modeling, machine learning, and agent-based artificial intelligence.

Jeremiah Folsom-Kovarik obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Philosophy and Computer Science from Drew University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Jeremiah then pursued further education at the University of Central Florida, earning a Master's degree (M.S) in Computer Science from 2006 to 2008. Subsequently, from 2008 to 2012, they attended the University of Central Florida once again, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science.
