Süleyman Gasi̇mov

Suleyman Gasimov graduated from the Azerbaijan National Economy Institute (today's Azerbaijan State University of Economics) and the Academy of Public Administration, subordinate to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Between 1982-1991 in the oil and gas sector; held various positions such as accountant, economist, deputy chief accountant and chief accountant. He continued his career in Azerineft Oil and Gas Production Department in 1991-2003 as chief accountant in Caspian Oil and Gas Production Unit and Offshore Oil and Gas Production Unit. Gasimov, who worked as SOCAR's Economy and Accounting Department Manager, Deputy Department Manager and Department Manager between 2004-2006, became Vice President responsible for economic issues since 2006. Since 2011, SOCAR Turkey Enerji A.Ş. Member of the Board of Directors, Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.Ş. Member of the Board of Directors, since 2014 STAR Rafineri A.Ş. Gasimov, who serves as a Member of the Board of Directors, is also a member of SOCAR Turkey Enerji A.Ş.

Gasimov, who has a doctorate in economics, has more than 15 scientific articles. He was honored with the "Taraggi (Progress) Medal" of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2006 and the "Shohrat (Honor) Medal" in 2011.
