Roland Poyurs has extensive work experience in finance and consulting. Roland is currently serving as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Sochitel since April 2022. Before that, they worked at Abacus Advisory as an Independent Consultant from January 2006 to May 2022. From April 2018 to December 2021, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at MFS Africa. Prior to that, they were a Director at PBSA (Pty) Ltd from January 2010 to January 2018. In 2006, they worked as a CFO at the South African Social Security Agency, and from 2001 to 2004, they were a Financial Director: Education at ADvTECH.
Roland Poyurs received their Matric degree from Jeppe High School for Boys in the years 1977 to 1981. After completing high school, they went on to attend the University of the Witwatersrand from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree. In 1991, they obtained the certification CA(SA) from SAICA CA(SA).
