Leah Ray

Chief Strategist at Social Capital

Leah Ray has an extensive work experience in the non-profit sector. Leah recently served as the Chief Strategist at Social Capital starting from August 2018. Prior to that, they worked at United Way of Metropolitan Chicago as the Senior Vice President of Resource Development from May 2016 to August 2018.

Leah also had a significant role in Feeding America, where they held the positions of SVP of Development from July 2014 to April 2016, and VP of Corporate Partnerships from January 2011 to June 2014.

Before their time at Feeding America, Leah worked at the Greater Chicago Food Depository, first as the Director of Individual Giving from July 2006 to January 2008, then as the Director of External Affairs from January 2008 to December 2010. Additionally, they served as the Cause Marketing Manager at the same organization from August 2004 to January 2006.

Leah Ray attended Grinnell College from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Africana Studies. Leah then pursued further education at North Park University from 2004 to 2006 and obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Management, focusing on the field of Nonprofit Management.
