Amanda DuBois is currently a Senior Administrative Assistant at Social Finance. Prior to that, they worked as a Match Corps Member (AmeriCorps) at Match Education from August 2018 to June 2019, where they prepared and facilitated daily geometry tutorials with 10th grade students in preparation for the MCAS exam. Amanda also encouraged the development of necessary study skills in higher-needs students via one-on-one daily meetings dedicated to organization and time-management practice. In addition, they assisted in grading and management tasks for the 10th grade composition course and supported students academically through proctoring homework labs after school.
Before their work at Match Education, Amanda was a Public Health Peer Advisor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from September 2016 to May 2018. There, they advised students during one-on-one sessions during weekly office hours and presented information sessions for prospective students of the Public Health major. Amanda also directed students to the proper resources on campus for whatever issues they might be facing, communicated effectively with students regarding academic requirements as well as any other concern they might have had, and worked collaboratively with another peer advisor to facilitate volunteering opportunities for students within the major.
Amanda DuBois has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Sciences from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Amanda also has a certification from the American Red Cross in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. In addition, they have a certification from the American Red Cross in Certified Nursing Assistant. Lastly, they have a certification from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in CITI Human Subjects Research Training.
