Maria Speight

Maria Speight has extensive work experience in various roles related to HR and communications. Maria most recently worked as the Director of HR and Workforce Development at Social Interest Group, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of HR at Fusion Lifestyle from 2019 to 2022. Maria also held the position of Head of HR and Resources at Centre 404 from 2017 to 2019. Before that, they worked as an HR Manager at innovision and as an Assistant to Directors at Flow Caritas. Maria's earlier experience includes roles such as Recruiter and Trainer at Listen, Office Manager at Tay Associates, Telesales Representative at Pell & Bales, Communications Administrator at Produban | Santander, and Communications Officer at Activated Europe.

Maria Speight attended Pensacola Christian College from 1990 to 2000 and obtained a High School Diploma through correspondence. In 2016, they pursued two courses from The Open University, namely "Developing your skills as an HR professional (OpenLearn)" and "Human Resources: recruitment and selection (OpenLearn)", both focused on Human Resources Management and Services. In 2017 and 2018, Maria pursued CIPD Level 5 qualifications in HR Management from CIPD Qualifications. Finally, in 2019, they completed a course titled "What is strategic HRM (OpenLearn)" from The Open University, specializing in Human Resources Management and Services.
