Lisa Marshall

Lisa Marshall has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lisa started their career in 2001 at the Portland Children's Museum as a Marketing Associate, where they managed website content, wrote press releases, and facilitated media inquiries. Lisa then moved on to the Raphael House of Portland in 2005, where they served as a Communications Manager, responsible for producing written and printed communications, managing foundation relationships, and achieving revenue goals. In 2010, Lisa joined 83-14 Design as a Graphic Designer, designing print materials, managing production processes, and creating content for social media campaigns. Currently, Lisa is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Social Science Research Council, taking on a leadership role in establishing and managing partnerships. Lisa previously held the position of Development Officer at the same organization. Overall, Lisa's experience encompasses marketing, communications, design, and partnership management.

Lisa Marshall obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Lewis & Clark College, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Later, in 2010 and 2011, they attended the Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC) and earned a Certificate in Independent Publishing.

Social Science Research Council

The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) is an independent, international, nonprofit organization founded in 1923. It fosters innovative research, nurtures new generations of social scientists, deepens how inquiry is practiced within and across disciplines, and mobilizes necessary knowledge on important public issues. The SSRC is guided by the belief that justice, prosperity, and democracy all require better understanding of complex social, cultural, economic, and political processes.
