Dr. Clare Stone has extensive experience in scientific publishing and editorial roles, currently serving as a Medical Editor at SSRN since January 2021. Previously, Dr. Stone held various positions at the Public Library of Science (PLOS) from February 2015 to September 2020, including Acting Chief Editor, Managing Editor, and Senior Research Editor. Additionally, Dr. Stone worked as an Editor for Genome Biology and as a Reviews Editor for The Company of Biologists. Early career experience includes positions as Assistant Editor at Nature Research and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, following research roles at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Dr. Stone earned a PhD in Genetics from Queen Mary University of London between 1995 and 1998.
