Joe Hoofnagle

Joe Hoofnagle is an accomplished cybersecurity professional, currently serving as a Senior Advisor in Cybersecurity & Intelligence at the Social Security Administration since July 2018. With a strong focus on insider threat mitigation, Joe is an active member and author in the Insider Threat Subcommittee of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance. Previous roles include serving as Insider Threat Subject Matter Expert at Insider Threat Global, LLC, and Insider Threat Program Support/Contract Technical Lead at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Joe has extensive experience in leading counter insider threat programs, directing secure operations centers, and managing information security services across various organizations, including the FDA, Magellan Health Services, and Citi. Joe is recognized for developing comprehensive strategies to address insider threats and enhancing organizations' cybersecurity posture.
