Peter Armitage has a wealth of experience in the sustainability and technology sectors. Peter began their career in 2006 as a Summer Volunteer at Forum for the Future. In 2007, they joined AECOM as a Sustainability Engineer, where they worked on energy strategies for commercial and residential buildings, CHP studies, large scale district heating/low carbon infrastructure studies, and general research on sustainability in the built environment. Peter then moved to the University of Cambridge in 2010, where they worked as a Research Student on the ReVISIONS research project team. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Senior Consultant (Associate) at Cambridge Architectural Research Limited. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Consultant at Etude, modelling retrofit opportunities for a London Borough. In 2015, they joined SBP Ltd as a Senior Sustainability Consultant and then moved to Social Value Portal in the same year, where they held various roles, including Director of Technology, Head of Technology, and Principal Technical Consultant. In 2020, they were part of the Series A funding round, leading the response to the technical due diligence.
Peter Armitage has a diverse educational background. Peter completed their MEng in Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Oxford in 2007. Peter then went on to pursue their MSc in Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design from the University of Bath from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they studied Architecture - Energy Modelling at the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2015.
