Doug Hume

Doug is a social impact strategy and policy consultant, with a passion for social justice and addressing structural inequity. Doug brings four years’ experience in policy advice for the Australian Government and has been consulting for SVA since 2017.

At SVA, Doug has supported clients through strategic planning, outcomes management, organizational review, and evaluation processes, with a particular focus on organizational Ian, go, government, and place-based initiatives.

Recent projects include working with the ten20 foundation and The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) on a foundation: Funding community-led place based practice, and with the Department of the Prime Minister and Caplace-based development and rollout of a place-based practice framework. Doug has worked on a range of strategic and organisational reviews and feasibility studies in the family services, eduorganizationality development, and financial services sectors. He has also supported the development of program logic and outcomes frameworks for Aboriginal-led organisations:  Culture is Life, the National Aboriginal and Torres Straitorganizationsal Service, and the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency.
