Jonathan Finighan

Jonathan is a Principal with SVA Consulting, with deep expertise in measurement and evaluation, organizational learning, strategy, and group facilitation.

Since joining SVA Consulting in 2016 he has led significant engagements across the government, community, and philanthropic sectors. Jonathan’s clients have included the National Indigenous Australians Agency, Department of Education and Training (Victoria), Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Association, Starlight Children’s Foundation, WEstjustice and Beyond Blue.

Prior to SVA, Jonathan worked as a Consultant with Firetail Ltd, a London-based boutique strategy consultancy. There he led program evaluations and outcome monitoring systems for multi-country programs in the areas of agricultural development, food security, and maternal and newborn child health across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Jonathan has also held a wide variety of research, evaluation, and consulting roles with non-profits and funders in the UK and Australia, including with New Philanthropy Capital, GSMA Mobile for Development Foundation, and Forests Philanthropy Action Network, FARM Africa and the Sidney Myer Fund & Myer Foundation.

Jonathan holds a BA (Honours, Politics and Philosophy) from Monash University and a MSc (Environmental Technology) from Imperial College London.
