Edwin Chiu

Edwin Chiu is an experienced accounting professional with a solid background in financial management and auditing. Currently serving as an Accounting Officer I at the Social Welfare Department of the Hong Kong Government since August 2019, Edwin specializes in fund management system redevelopment and project management. Prior roles include Accounting Officer II at the Legal Aid Department, overseeing treasury and management accounting, and at The Treasury, focusing on retirement benefits. Edwin’s career began at Ernst & Young as a Senior Accountant, where responsibilities included leading audit engagements and mentoring junior staff. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from The University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from City University of Hong Kong. Additional international study experience was gained at the University of Bath.
