Ahmina Akhtar is an experienced professional specializing in equality, diversity, and inclusion. Currently serving as the Inclusion Advisory Group Co-chair at the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) since August 2023, Ahmina leads efforts to enhance race equity and inclusive participation in research. As the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Social Work England, a position held since July 2019, Ahmina has developed and implemented strategies to promote these values across the organization. Previous roles include being a Senior Psychosocial Practitioner for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse and a Playworker at Autistic Children & Carers Together. Ahmina holds a Master's Degree in Integrated Practice and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from The University of Sheffield, along with additional qualifications in organization development and managing equality, diversity, and inclusion.
