Catherine Elphee is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public relations and external relations within the public sector. Currently serving as a Senior External Relations Officer at Social Work England since November 2018, Catherine develops and implements communications strategies for the regulation of over 100,000 social workers. Prior to this, Catherine held various roles at Sheffield City Council, including Communications Manager and External Relations Officer, where responsibilities encompassed strategic leadership, team management, and campaign delivery. Catherine's earlier career includes positions at Sheffield Homes, Richmond Housing Partnership, and Nelson Bostock Communications, with a foundational background in journalism from the Darlington and Stockton Times. Catherine earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Durham University.
