Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR)
Stephanie Edwards is currently serving as the North West SoR Committee Secretary at the Society and College of Radiographers since October 2022, collaborating with Thailay Roscoe. In addition, Stephanie holds the position of Social Media and Communications Officer for the Student Representative Forum at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust since September 2023. With experience as a Diagnostic Radiographer at the same trust and a previous role as a Student Intern at the Personalised Care Institute, Stephanie has contributed to content creation and promotion of personalised care. Previous roles include Radiology Assistant at NHS Professionals and Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust, as well as serving as a Student Representative and Ambassador at the University of Salford, where Stephanie earned a BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography. Early educational achievements include an Access to Medical Science diploma from West Lancashire College.
Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR)
The Society of Radiographers is the trade union and professional body for radiographers and all non-medical members of the workforce in diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy in the UK. It is responsible for their professional, educational, public and workplace interests. The College of Radiographers is the charitable subsidiary of the Society and it exists for the benefit of the public. The College's objects are directed towards education, research and other activities in support of the science and practice of radiography. Together, the Society and College shape the healthcare agenda and lead opinion on a wide range of professional issues. We set the standards that become the policies adopted and acclaimed by governments and health professionals worldwide. In the workplace, we pioneer new ways of working and ensure that imaging professionals work in a safe and fair environment.
