Laurent Truc has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Systems Analyst at Deloitte and Touche Consulting. In 2001, they took a position as Program Manager at AboveNet. In 2004, they became the VP of Operations and Co-Founder of Iron Gate Cellarage, a wine storage company offering white glove service for the Greater Toronto Area. In 2005, they worked as Technical Sales and Marketing at Sesame Networks, and at Dun and Bradstreet as VP Enterprise Sales - Canadian Government Solutions, Leader, Project Sales, Leader, Customer Care and Support - Canada, Manager - Sales Application Specialists, and Project Consultant - Team Lead. In 2019, they founded MadX Capital, which helps business owners and investors buy income from profitable internet-based businesses. Finally, in 2020, they became the EVP, M&A at Society Brands, a fund focused on the acquisition and value creation of eCommerce businesses.
Laurent Truc obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Engineering Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology between 1994 and 1999. Laurent also completed an Executive Program in Sales Management Certification Program at Queen's University in 2009. In addition, they hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
