Cecilia Tan

Cecilia Tan has been working in various industries since 1989. Cecilia began their career at Beacon Press as a Special Sales/Foreign Rights Coordinator and Marketing Assistant. In 1992, they founded Circlet Press and served as Publisher and Editorial Director for 28 years until it was acquired by Riverdale Avenue Books in 2020. Cecilia currently serves as Editor for the Circlet imprint of Riverdale.

In 1994, they began working as a freelance editor/anthologist/writer and event director for FFF Productions. Cecilia also served as an instructor at Jae H. Kim Tae Kwon Do from 1998 to 2002. In 2006, they became a certified technician in Okazaki Restorative Therapy and a freelance editor for Maple Street Press Yankees Annual.

In 2011, Cecilia was hired as the Publications Director for SABR-- The Society for American Baseball Research. In this role, they are the primary editor for SABR's three annual journals and the main overseer of SABR's book publication program.

Cecilia Tan obtained their MA in Professional Writing & Publishing from Emerson College in 1994. Cecilia obtained their AB in Linguistics & Cognitive Science from Brown University in 1989. Additionally, they obtained two Certified Massage Technician (CMT) certifications in June 2006, one from Pacific and Asian Restoration Therapies of D.Z.R. and one from the AJJF National Massage Certification Program.
