Scott Siamas is the Director at Society for Corporate Governance. Scott has over fifteen years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on SEC reporting, corporate governance, finance and capital markets transactions, domestic and international subsidiary management, compensation-related matters and filings, insider stock compliance, tax and treasury matters, and supporting the investor relations function.
Previously, Scott was the Corporate Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at The Clorox Company. In this role, they advised the board of directors and management on corporate governance issues, planned and executed board of directors and annual stockholder meetings, as well as prepared and maintained corporate records and policies. Scott also served as the Strategic Business Unit Attorney for Clorox’s Food, Charcoal and Litter businesses (which include everyday household brands such as Kingsford, Hidden Valley and Fresh Step), counseling the business leadership team on a variety of legal matters.
Prior to joining The Clorox Company, Scott was a Senior Corporate Associate at Latham & Watkins, where they advised public and private companies on a variety of transactional and securities law matters.
Scott received their J.D. from Harvard Law School and their B.A. from Duke University.
Scott Siamas attended UC Santa Barbara for their undergraduate degree, where they majored in Business Economics and Law & Society. Scott then attended UC Davis School of Law for their Juris Doctorate degree. Finally, they completed their MBA at UC Davis' Graduate School of Management.
