Sunderesh Heragu

Sunderesh Heragu is a seasoned educator, researcher, scientist, and higher education administrator, currently serving as a Senior Advisor and in various leadership roles at Oklahoma State University since August 2013. Sunderesh has also held the position of President Elect at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers since February 2024. Previously, Sunderesh was a Professor and Director of the Logistics and Distribution Institute at the University of Louisville from July 2005 to July 2013, and a Visiting Researcher at IBM in 2005. Additional academic appointments include a lengthy tenure as a Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Visiting Professor roles at several universities. Sunderesh holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Manitoba, an MBA in Operations Management from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering.
