Allison Wainick has worked in various roles in the field of public affairs and communications for over 20 years. In 2021, they began working as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, where they oversee and manages the organization's portfolio of work related to DEI, including the Emerging Leaders Program. From 2011-2021, they were the Director and Manager of Communications and Outreach at The Jacobs Institute, where they were responsible for communications, branding, media relations, marketing, website, social media, and STEM educational programs. From 2007-2004, they were the Government and Public Affairs Director for the American Brain Coalition. From 1999-2004, they worked in various roles for the Society for Neuroscience, including Director of Government and Public Affairs, Government and Public Affairs Manager, and Government and Public Affairs Coordinator.
Allison Wainick attended Syracuse University from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Masters of Science from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, specializing in Communications Management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from The George Washington University.
