Emily Rafferty has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Emily started their career in 2008 as a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator at the Muscular Dystrophy Association. From there, they transitioned to Potbelly Sandwich Works, where they held various roles including Receptionist, Marketing Specialist, Manager of Marketing Insights & Programs, and Sr. Manager of Menu Innovation & Brand Insights. In 2016, Emily joined Maru/Matchbox as a Research Manager and steadily rose through the ranks to become the Director of Research. Their most recent position is with the Society of Actuaries, where they serve as the Director of Business Insights.

Emily Rafferty obtained their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Urban Studies from Loyola University Chicago between 2002 and 2006. Emily then completed a Certificate of Completion in Principles of Marketing Research from The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education from 2011 to 2012. In 2014, Emily received another Certificate of Completion, this time in Mobile Market Research, also from The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Emily also has an additional certification in Principles of Mobile Market Research from the University of Georgia.
