Michael Bova, Ph.D., MDiv, currently serves as Principal at Our Lady of Kaparu School, where responsibilities include directing operations and implementing the reading program. Additionally, Michael is a Reverend with the Society of African Missions, focusing on primary evangelization in Zambia. Previous experience includes esteemed positions in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Senior Director and Director at Elan Pharmaceuticals, leading interdisciplinary teams in in-vitro pharmacology with a focus on CNS diseases. Michael also served as a Seminarian at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity degree, and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from UCLA.

The SMA (Societas Missionum ad Afros) is an international Society of Catholic (Priest and Lay) Missionaries who come from around the world and are dedicated to the spread of the Gospel in Africa and among African people. The SMA missionaries have been present in Africa since 1856. The American Province began in 1906 and has a mission presence in the Archdioceses of Newark (NJ), Washington (DC) and Boston (MA).
