David Johnson

David Johnson has had extensive work experience in various roles related to engineering, water resources, and strategic management. David most recently worked for CONSOR Engineers as the National Business Development Manager starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the President of the Society of American Military Engineers from August 2021. David also worked as the Client Development Manager at Houston Engineering, Inc. from September 2020 to March 2023. Before that, they were the Associate Vice President and Manager of Strategy and Growth at AECOM from April 2019 to September 2020. David has also held positions at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources, HDR, and the MN Department of Natural Resources, where they served in various roles including Design and Construction Manager, Clean Water Specialist, Vice President, Senior Hydrologist, and Soil and Water Conservationist, among others.

David Johnson has a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College, which they obtained in the years 1983 to 1987. David then pursued an MS in Environmental Biology at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 1987 to 1989. Following this, David attended the University of Minnesota from 1990 to 1991, studying Civil and Water Resources Engineering with a focus on Hydrology. In 2018, they earned a Certificate in Senior Leadership from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. In addition to their degrees, David obtained the ENV SP certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in June 2013.
